BOTOX®, DYSPORT® AND XEOMIN
Want to turn back the clock? Wrinkle relaxers are a type of cosmetic treatment used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on the face. The most commonly used wrinkle relaxers are injectable neurotoxins, such as Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin. They are made from a purified version of the toxin from botulinum bacteria.
These neurotoxins work by temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles to form, such as those in the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes. It can also be injected around the mouth (smoker’s lines, or lip flip), in the chin for a dimpled chin, and those bothersome neck bands. By relaxing these muscles, the skin is able to smooth out, resulting in a more youthful appearance.
Wrinkle relaxers are typically administered by a licensed healthcare provider, and the effects typically last for several months before requiring another treatment. You will start to see results in 3 to 7 days. To keep those wrinkles away you will need injections every 3 to 6 months and less often after that.
Your consultation at Zoe Grace in Northern Kentucky with a Licensed Professional, will determine the best course of action for you. The procedure itself takes approximately 10 minutes with no downtime. Sometimes they call it “Lunchtime Glow-up”, because you can literally have it done on your lunch break, and nobody would know.
